We're vegans and proudly so. We're also culinarians. That means we have a keen appreciation for delicious food, and the history of food in general. We want vegan food to be the best it can be— the most delicious, nutritious, and natural possible. Great strides have been made toward that end over the years, yet there's still a long way to go. Too often, "natural" food companies use methods and ingredients that we find questionable— for example, genetically-engineered blood components so vegan burgers can have a bloody look and taste. This strikes us as a bridge too far. The plant kingdom provides ample possibilities for deliciousness without needing to wander into the realm of genetic engineering. At Cosmic Cashew, we aim for uncompromising flavor and we never rest on our laurels.
